    the ground around the hill. The road is closed because cattle and horses are fed on the hill now, but it is to be opened again to make a trail for the hunters down to the Friarstown road. There is another little field out at the back of ''Bawn Rushy Hill'' known as Tige Na Iprecania ''. and there is a circle of rushes in the very middle of the field and every night at twelve o,clock the whole field is lit up and about twenty years ago the old people were so courageous that they used to stay up and go to the field and listen to the fairy men mending little shoes and singing little songs to themselves.
