  2. An Old Disused Mine-Shaft near Dromahair

    In the townland of Barrick - a - Brochery some years ago a mine was discovered (?) old disused mine. It was a local tradition that this mine was worked aobut two hundred years ago by two French men and English man. They were supposed to take 'ore' of some kind which was mined there which they brought on pack horses to Sligo and was shipped from there.
    About four years ago some local men decided to find out the truth of this
