  1. It is said that there was a Foundry in a field near the church and the monks used to make iron and ore. The coal-dust is to be seen to the present day.

  2. In the south side of the church there is supposed to be a mill, and it is said that it is heard grinding at 12 o'clock on a Summer's day. It was never seen and they call it the 'Enchanted Mill".
