  1. Local Roads
    1- There is a road going to Portomna, which is a public road. There is a road running from this to Conicare, and from that to Tynagh. Conicare means a short cut.
    2- There is a road going all around the Monastery. That road was made for people coming to the monastery in olden times.
    3- There is a road going to Barnaboy and that road wold bring you to Woodford.
    Barnaboy road was made in 1848 to give the people work.
    There is a track of an old road above in one of the Barnaboy fields.
    4- It is also said that there is a road under the ground from Lady well to the grave-yard.
