  1. Local Fairs
    There is a fair help in Tubber every year on the 12th July. A great many people attend it. There are customs paid at the fair - field gate. On the fair-day the children have a holiday from school. At the fair of Tubber long ago a man named Reilly was killed. A man named O'Neill that killed him. O'Neill was drink and they had a row and O'Neill hit Reilly with a shovel on the head and he died. A man named Pollack goes around gathering up all the cattle and buying them. The day before the fair the people go to the fair-field and make pins. When the people have their animals sold they go into the shop and go drinking. Some of them stay until they are very drunk and then they rise a row.The principal animals that are sold at the fair of Tubber are sheep and lambs.
    Long ago the Tubber fairs used be very big but now they have become smaller because in Gorb town, five miles
