    a while the teacher died and his family went to America. After his death no other teacher would go teaching in it. It was knocked down, a while before the national school was built.
    Mark Roche was also teaching in Tonemoyle. There was a school at the end of it. When he was about seven or eight years in it he went teaching in the school in Kilgevrin. There were only a few scholars going to the school in Tonemoyle. They learned no English and their principal books were Irish books. It is a stable for cattle now and the trace of the window can be seen in it yet.
