    a sand pit on it. This old road was apart of the main road by which people passed to Ballinasloe long ago. People travel this road going to fairs and markets.
    There is also a pass by which people travel to the market on foot. This path is called the Market Path or the Seven Stiles. The reason why it is called the latter name is because there are seven stiles in the fields as you go to Ballinasloe.
