    Near the Hillhead there is a Protestant church, and about 54 years ago there was a ghost being seen there.
    One night as a man named Mick O'Donnell was passing it seemed that the gates were walking up the brae before him. His hair stood on his head and that was a sure sign it was a ghost, so he blessed himself and the gates disappeared. But the whole brae in front of him seemed to be full of smoke. As he was about to lift the latch of his own door, he fainted and had to be carried in. The man recovered later and although he was never afraid of ghosts, he was ever afterwards afraid.
