which are know to possess cures for many ailments.
Near the residence of the Duc de Stackpoole at Tubertynan Co. Meath there is a small well which was blessed by St. Tynan many years ago. Hence the name Tobar-Tynan. The Saint was on his way to Clonard one very warm Summer day. He was very thirsty and suffered from a pain in his head. Meeting the little well unexpectedly, he blessed it and drank some of the water. The pain in his head ceased and he felt refreshed. He prayed aloud that the water might cure many an aching head. The people of the locality who suffer from head-ache go there and partake of the water.
