    Folklore - Local Cures - 4-2-38
    There lived in this parish long ago a man who went by the name of Dominic. He was the seventh son, and had the charm of curing tooth-akes, but when asked to do so, he only did it very reluctantly. It is said when he was being Baptised there was an insect placed in the palm of his hand, without this being done he would be powerless.
    It is stated that the moment the insect touched his hand it died immediately. It is said that many a person was cured by this man, and the tooth that the patient got cured never again troubled him. This cure was performed by laying his thumb on the broken tooth while he repeat some words.
