There is a liss in Ballinamadough and there is a tree growing in the middle of the liss. There is a hole in the top of it to go in. If you youched the tree you would get sick.
In Lyrebarry
There is a liss in Lyrebarry. It is called the "fairy ring". The liss got this name because every night at twelve o'clock the fairies can be heard dancing. This old fairy ring could not be ploughed because furze are growing all over it.
In Lyreen
In Lyreen there is a liss. It is about twenty five feet in diameter. There is no entrance into this liss. It was never ploughed.
