  1. There is a glen near the birds old house known as Com a' Sceithe.
    Long ago the priest used to say Mass there and the people from the place used to go there. The altar they had was a big rock. A turnip and a potato were placed in a hole in the rock, a hole made in the potato and the turnip were used as candlesticks.

  2. One of our fields is called the Mass Field and the pathway is called the Mass Path. It is said that Father Sheehy used to say Mass there in the Penal Times.
