- Once upon a time when Our Lord was on this earth St Peter was with him. They came along until they met a rich man and a poor man. Our Lord gave a shilling to the rich man and a penny to the poor man. St Peter asked him why did he only give a penny to the poor man and a shilling to the rich man. Our Lord told him to take the torn clothes off the poor man and that he would find his riches sewn in his clothes and that he was a miser. St Peter did so and he got the money and kept it. That is why priests are fond of money.
