  1. The night of the big Wind long ago there was a wake-house near Castlebar. There was a great gathering of people at it. When they were there a while the storm began and it was so strong that it knocked the roof off the corpse-house Then they had to take the corpse to a newly built house in the district until it was buried. When all the people went home that night they found their homes blown down by the storm. Then they had to stay in other peoples’ homes that were not blown down until they built their own houses.
