    living alone, and his potatoes failed as well as the rest, and he was nearly starving.
    By some means, this poor man got the price of a little bag of oat-meal. It seems that he was sparing the meal, and not eating hardly any of it at all, so he died with the hunger. He was found dead one morning and the meal under his head.
