    him that Ossian wanted to talk to him. He came out to Ossian and said in an angry tone "begone if you seek employment or I will put you in prison". Ossian said he only wanted to be taught the lord's prayer. The rich man wondered very much at this, but in order to please Ossian he taught him the lord's prayer. He then ordered his daughter to get him a loaf weighing four pounds. He gave this loaf to Ossian along with a shilling and sent him away telling him that if he ever forgot the lord's prayer to some to him again and he would teach him.
    Ossian went down to the other men fully satisfied. They gladly gave him his reward, being proud of his bravery. From that day forth he was famed as being the bravest man in that district.
