    There were many trees blown down and some cattle killed that night. There was a motor-car proceeding from Westport to Drummin and it was swept off the road at Knappa and blown into the bogs. The people who were in the car were thrown out and received minor injuries. It was a night to be remembered by the people of this district for many years and everybody was glad when calmness came.
