    a few kinds of bread. They had oatmeal bread, wheaten bread, potato bread and there another kind of bread called "boxty" that they used to have.
    Meat was common long ago. It was Russian bacon. They had plenty of fish too. They had chickens for feast days.
    Stirabout made from Indian meal is not used now. Oatmeal bread and boxty is not used now. Potato bread is not common either.
    Tea started about sixty years ago. They used to have it for the dinner. Wooden mugs and bowls they used to have for drinking tea. The names of their vessels were "noggins". They had potatoes
