  1. There are certain days of the week to be lucky for getting married, Wednesdays and Tuesdays are supposed to be the lucky days. The first Monday in the week is supposed to be the time of the month to get married. It is supposed that all the people who would be going to get married before Shrove and would not get married will not marry for the year. It is said that the people would throw salt over their backs because it is supposed that it will keep them fresh for the next year. The old people used to call them strawboys because they used to come looking for drink. The parents usually make the match and on the day the match would be
