at a certain time there lived in Ballintobar a girl. She was going to be married to a rich man in the neighbourhood. One day she was going to the well for water when she saw an old woman washing her feet. The girl asked her why she was destroying the water. The woman said that it was no business of hers, and that she would never have a priest at her marriage. The two of them started to quarrel and they fell into the well. The cure was lost ever since.
