    Then they would put on the other handle with two or three bolts. Then they would get a sole plate of metal and bolt it on to the cross. They made a socket of iron at the forge and they fitted it on to the socket of wood. They then got a culter made of iron by a blacksmith to cut the land in a straight line for the sock to raise it up and the mouldboard to turn over. Then I got a headrack of two plates of iron and bolted it on the beam of wood. Then a chain is put to the headrack to crook the swingles on to the plough.
