    there was a young lad once called Pat Curley He was seven years sitting in the ashes at the fire side. The first time he went out to work he manured seven acres of land when he shook himself. When he came he told his mother that she would have to curse him seven years more before he could work. His age was twenty-one He was a big giant.
    When the neighbours used to see him they used to say "Are you the lad that was seven years in the ashes"
    So this day he went out for fire-wood and
