A few words about myself

I am fascinated by genealogy, history, folklore, heraldry and the impact of geography on human culture. My family is descended from a Presbyterian minister who moved to Cootehill, Co. Cavan, around 1720, but I was born in England, raised on the west coast of Canada, and now live in Japan. I'm in education at an international school in Tokyo. My research has benefited from the materials posted on Duchas.ie, so I want to give back by transcribing texts.
