    district that never wore boots.
    There was a little lake on the top of The Loughanleagh mountains Co Cavan. People went very long journeys to wash their feet and legs in it because it cured them from any disease they had in their feet and legs.
    It was part of Pratts property of Kingscourt. The Miss Pratts had about twenty five dogs. The got a disease in among them called "Mange", one of the Miss Pratts came on a Saturday and washed all the dogs in the lake, and before that day week the lake dried up. The local people were very angry as so many people got cured of their diseases.
    It was a very peculiar lake because the water would get troubled once every year.
    There are boots made in the district and repaired also by the same man, Mr O'Reilly, Mullagh, Co Cavan.
