People say if you had a litter of pigs, and give away one of them without any money for it, you would give away the luck of the rest of the pigs.
A mark is only put on hatching eggs at the station. No other people put marks on eggs, because once upon a time a woman got a few eggs from a couple of her neighbours and she wrote everybodies name on the eggs, and not one of them was good. It is not lucky to put a mark on hatching eggs.
