  1. There is one forge in this district. Larry Reilly is the blacksmith. Larry Reilly's grandfather was a blacksmith too. The forge is situated on the side of the road, about half a mile from a crossroads. It has a slated roof, and an iron door. The bellows are fixed to the fireplace with a handle and chain attached to them. He pulls the handle and makes the fire roar.
    In the centre of the floor opposite the fireplace, there is a heavy iron block, with a pointed noose called the anvil, and is necessary to the blacksmith, as it is upon this he hammers the reddened iron with his ponderous sledge, drills holes through the
