  1. Patrick Ivers aged 50 years was captured by a fall of earth about two weeks ago while working in a coal mine near Earls hill. He went home to his dinner and when he returned to the pit he went down into it. He was told in the morning not to go because the ground was very soft from the rain. There was another man with him. The two of them were down in the pit. They heard a noise and they ran up the ladder. One of them got out at the top but the other got caught. He remained there for a few days and could not be got out. Then they got timber and people came from Dublin. After some time - they
