    Here I am a stranger last night I left my home.
    My parents reared me tenderly and very well 'tis known.
    Although I am a stranger and of a load agree
    You'll rise up my charming girl.
    And come along with me.
    The tell you the very reason
    this night what brought me home.
    In order to obtain the love of you my dear.

    Amongst all fair maids are comely
    But still I find but few
    thats' the very reason
