    How foolish were by boyish thoughts
    We were months upon the run
    But it did good work in Ireland then
    Did that old Finian gun".

    theres the mark still of the ball.
    I hope the boys that going now
    Will keep the cause we've won
    And not desgrace our nation
    By not holding a Finian gun.
