    St Bridget’s day. The people around here pull rushes and they leave them till night and then they make crosses and they put one in the rooms and all the buyres. And that is the day that the candles are blessed in the Chapel.
    St Patrick’s day. The men go out with the band. It falls on the 17th of March.
    Shrove Tuesday. That is the time lots of people get married
