  1. A Day hay-making
    August is the best month for hay-making and the people like to get fine weather because hay cannot be saved in wet weather. This year the farmers only got a fine day now and again and I remember one special day in the middle of August that I was hay making. That day the hay was cut down by a mowing machine and that night everyone in the house was praying for the next day to be fine and when I got up the next morning the day promised to be glorious and warm. After my breakfast I went out to the hay field and myself
