  1. There is a blessed well in Cushion about three miles from Ayle. It is called St Ann's well, People come from all parts of Ireland to do a station at that well as the people say that there is a cure for sore eyes in that well. You have to pay three visits to that well and say certain prayers each time in order to fulfil your request. The people always say Seven Hail Marys and Seven Our Fathers.
    There is an old story told about that well
