  1. The houses long ago were built under a hill as the people were afraid that another storm might come as they had no faith in God. In most houses there were only two room. the kitchen & a bed-room. The cattle were often tied at the end of the kitchen. There was a cailleach bult out from the side of the house & a bed was kept in it & usually the old people slept in it. The fireplace was very big & on each side of it there were
