  1. There are not many forges in this parish. It belongs to Pat Stanton. His father and grandfather and his great grandfather were blacksmiths. It is a very old forge. It is situated on the side of the main road. The door is faced to the west and a horseshoe is nailed on the door to the show the people that it is a forge. It is thatched with straw and it is very warm
