    On Fergus was added then because the village was built on the right bank of the river Fergus. The old name for the village was Córadh Chaithlín.
    There are one hundred and three houses in the village. There is a curates house after being built, and it cost over two thousand pounds.
    There is a chaple in the village and there are gardens and paths in front of it. There is a big cross erected near the graves.
    There is a big hurling in the village. It was erected about two years ago in memory of a priest called Fr. Murphy. There are twenty six new houses going to be built in a field near the village.
