- The people also used to play football on a Sunday. A crowd would gather in a field and call a team each until all on the field would be called. The ball would be made out of hay rope twisted up in the shape of a ball. Then one team would stand at the foot of the field and the other at the head. The player who would be going to kick the ball the rest of the players would run and give him a hand and foot and knock him. The one who could do this the best would be considered the best player. When they would finish they would go up and dance on the mountain and dance a while. They used to have a man who would play a fife while the rest would be dancing. Then they would go down and dance at the crossroads. The people also used to fish in Cornasea Lake. The line would be made out of horsehair plaited. together.
