- The Lovers Leap is situated on the right hand bank of the Dargle river in Lord Monck's estate. Its name originated owing to a tradedy. While a young man and his sweetheart were sitting on the rock the young lady slipped off and fell some hundred feet on to the rocks below, on seeing what had happened, her distracted lover jumped off the(continues on next page)
