    in olden times and other people say that they were made as fortifications to some notable person's house. There are a lot of old traditions and legends dealing with forts.
    A very common belief is, that if a person cuts a stick in a fort some misfortune will happen him within a short time.
    Another belief is that one time a humpy man was passing by a fort. The fairies were singing a song which they did not know how to finish and the 'humpy' man finished it for them. They were so pleased that they brought him into the fort and took the
