    Mulvey.
    In this townland there are six old ruins. Some of which are scarcely visible, and formerly there was a castle in it belonging to the O'Farrells.
    At the time St Patrick was travelling through Ireland he blessed a well in this townland that is why it is called Ballintubber "the town of the well".
