  1. A good deal has been written about this well and about its patron St Ultan and of the hospital he built for orphan children.
The " patron " is still kept up on the first Sunday of September and the well is visited by members of the committe of St Brickens Children's Hospital Dublin. The well is well kept.
It is said that when St Ultan ran short of milk he used to send for water to this well and the water would turn to milk.
