  1. Crosses
On the eve of St. Brigid's day, crosses are made from rushes, and one is put in the house and in the out-offices, and it is said that St. Brigid comes round on that night and blesses the cross and these crosses keep away all sickness for a year.
On Palm Sunday, Palm is put up in the house and in all the out-offices.
    St. Patricks Day
Children wear bought St. Patricks Crosses on that day.
Holly is put up at Christmas to decorate the house and it is taken down after "Little Christmas", and is kept until Shrove Tuesday for baking the pancakes.
