  1. The local fairs are held in Nenagh and in Borrisokane. They are always held in the towns.
    Long ago, a couple of days before the fair, a man always came to the persons house to buy the animals.
    Tolls are always payed on a fair day. If a person buys or sells he has to pay toll. There is a man standing on the street. When you are coming home from the fair he asks for the toll.
    When an animal is sold luck-money is generally given. It is called luck-money.
    When a bargain has been made, the buyer and the seller strike hands. Sometimes them spit on their hands before striking.
