  1. The ghost of Ardban. Contd.
    On the road leading to Ard Ban outside the village there was a row of houses. The village people called it the lane. The upper house was said to have been haunted. Strange happenings took place there from time to time.
    The parish Priest of Adare found it hard to pass this house at a late hour at night. On one occasion he was knocked off his horse at night and the horse ran away.
    One night there was a man from Barnalic going into the village for the nurse. When he was passing the hosue he was attacked and beaten.
