- The table was hung up against the wall when not in use. The kind of bread used was wheaten bread, yellow-meal-bread (Indian) and white-bread. Fish used always be used on Big Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and Little Christmas Eve. On St. Stephen's Day rice was eaten. The vegetables people used were turnips and cabbage and a lot of eggs were eaten on Easter Sunday.
