    In his history of the Diocese of Ossory, Father Corrigan gives the history of the De Frayne family.
    According to him the male line of the De Fraynes of Ballyreddy is believed to have become extinct. In New Ross there is a family of Freaney who claim to be descendants of the Knight de Frayne.
    In Kilbride, in the parish of Glenmore about four miles from Ballyreddy is a family of F-r-y-n-e
