    "Place Names"
Patrick Oakey's field is called the "Fluic" because it is always very wet and whenever it rains there is a big lough of water in the middle of it.
Another of Oakey's fields is called the "Gleann"
One of Fennessy's fields is called the Dock because the river runs into one end of it.
One of Mark McDonald's fields is called "the big field" and the fairies are supposed to meet there every night.
Mr White's field is called "the barrack field" because there was a barrack there in the olden times.
