  1. In the townland of Ballagh there lived an old man called Arthur Sreenan or "Attey" as he was familiarly called. This old man followed the trade of stonemason or what was called a handy man in those days.
    Attey was in the habit of poking fun at those who passed along the road where he was working and generally had the best of an argument when one would arise. One day while plastering a wall he was accosted by the districk doctor who always liked to have a go at Attey. Now it happened that there was a good few deaths around the neighbourhood, and as it was a good time to have hit at the doctor and Attey getting a favourable
