    Witchcraft or Elfshooting
    In olden times certain women were supposed to possess power to take milk from cows. To restore the milk, one had to secure a piece of the person's shawl or apron or such, secretly and burn it under the cow's nose, then the milk would return to the cow.
    Castor Oil
    Castor oil applied to a burn immediately prevents blisters.
    Boortree Berries
    Boortree Berries boiled, and the water strained off and left to cool, is a cure for a cold.
    Onions
    Onions boiled in milk are a cure for a cold.
    Dandelion roots, Bog-beans and Tops of Whins
    Dandelion roots, Bog-bean and tops of whins, boiled together and taken in Spring time, a cure for poor blood. Also, taken as tonic when one is run-down.
