    Blue, put on the sting of a wasp, was considered a good cure.
    If you had warts and found water in the hollow of a rock, all you need do was to wash them in this water and they disappeared after a few days. If a person had whooping-cough he should go in and out under an asse's legs a number of times and it was cured. A sty on your eye was cured by making the sign of the cross on it with a gold wedding ring.
