  1. If you have swollen joints they are cured by boiled nettles mixed with lard and then put on as a poultice to the swollen joints.
    Long ago people said that if a child had a sore head and that if you got some ivy-leaves and stitch them together and put them as a cap down on the sore head it would cure them.
